The length was 8,399', just a few minutes longer than the edition that had opened in NYC a month earlier. Did Ufa Berlin chop away at the negative this early? Or was it Ufa Stockholm that decided to chop the local prints to conform with what Paramount had done? Did Paramount have any say in this, or was this entirely a local decision?
