As far as I know, L’etrangère has never been released on video in any format, anywhere in the world, and I doubt it’s still available for screening. I’m not particularly interested in this movie. Not at all. But I am most interested in the outfit that licensed the US rights and released it here under the title of Sin with a Stranger. That outfit was called Films Distributing Corporation, which turns out to have been a subsidiary of Paramount. It seems as though Paramount shunted the more exploitative — or at least sexploitative — movies to Films Distributing Corporation. That’s only my guess, based on what little information I’ve been able to gather so far. If you know better, please write to me. Thank you so much!
