Having produced a surprise hit in 1968 with Barbarella, Dino De Laurentiis sought to capitalize on its success with this sequel. The only reference I have ever found to it is from Variety (7 May 1969, p 65):
TINTO BRASSAuthor likes to blast social inhibitions and idols. Columbia released his Black on White early this year with fair returns for a way-out pic. Brass recently terminated The Shriek. Both pix filmed in London for Dino De Laurentiis who now allows Brass to direct Barbarella Goes Down.
